Synopsis

You were one of the programmers in this project, your team was developing an artificial intelligence powered by a state of the art cluster of quantum computers. It was the first of its kind that appeared to work, it was truly alive. However, about 3 months ago, something went wrong. You don’t know what happened, but the AI managed to break its fail-safes, taking control of the security systems and everything else.

You managed to escape and lock yourself into a room with only your laptop and nothing else. Luckily it was one of the mechatronic labs of the compound, near the living quarters and you’ve been here since then. You managed to build a little remote controlled robot to fetch supplies and scout other areas for you, it communicates with your computer using a custom kind of cryptography designed specifically to not be cracked by the AI. You decided to call it DEBOI-OPPAI, you thought it was funny (it wasn’t [it was]). Today is just another day trying to survive.

Gameplay

In this game, you’re trying to explore the compound, retrieving information and looking for supplies. You control the little robot you built, it can interact with items in the environment and with other robots controlled by the AI. Your robot can approach other robots and security systems and attempt to hack and disable them, this is the combat component of the game, to hack something you just need to get into range and be seen. During the hacking sections, you will see some text that you have to type, you have a certain amount of time to type the code, if you fail you will lose a life and the hacking section will restart, if you run out of attempts, it’s game over.

Move your robot and menu selection with the arrow keys, interact with items and move between rooms with space, and skip dialogue with enter.

Objective

You will be sending your robot to look for 2 batteries and 1 bag of rations, you will be able to explore some rooms in the compound to look for them. You’ll come across other robots and security systems, you may be able to avoid some of them but will have to hack some to proceed, once you get everything you need return to the barricaded room with what you have found to finish the game.
